In 1971, Carole King released this video of Will You Still Love me Tomorrow.

And for business, the key question is Will your customers still love you tomorrow?

Tomorrow implies sustainability of your business. Sustainability means continuing to meet the needs of your customers so that they will love you tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow.

To achieve this you follow the 3rd Law of Business: “The Primary objective of every business is to put itself out of business”. This is not as disastrous as it sounds. This results from your needs changing as do your clients and the community and you must change your business and become the purposeful business that meets these next needs. In other words you business is either green and growing or ripe and rotting.

Yes there are some people who only buy as they have always bought but…most people want one or all of the following:

  • The latest and greatest NEW thing – Apple depends on this as do most technology manufactures.
  • A trusted staple- most cosmetics and household brands depend on the trust of their brand and only update the colour, packaging and scent of items.
  • A proven solution to a common problem – the Mega stores like Walmart, Bunnings, Mitre10 and similar stores are all built around providing both the products and solutions to the common problems.
  • A product or service supported and endorsed by their friends and authority figures – that is why sports figures are brand champions.

Why do people love your business?

The first thing is that you are interested in them.

  • What they need?
  • Why they need it?
  • When they need it?
  • And how do you make them feel when you give it to them.

Innovation is about meeting needs of clients better so that they will love you more.

Paraphrasing the song “Will you Still Love me tomorrow”

Today you’re mine, wholly
You buy from me so sweetly
Today the joy of buying is in your eyes
But will you buy from me tomorrow?

Is this a lasting relationship
Or just a moment’s pleasure
Can I believe the magic of your sighs
Will you still buy from me tomorrow?

Today with words unspoken
You say that I’m the only one
But will my heart be broken
When the night meets the morning sun?

I’d like to know that your love
Is love I can be sure of
So tell me now and I won’t ask again
Will you still buy from me tomorrow?

Will you still buy from me tomorrow?

Do you want your clients to love and buy from you tomorrow?

Are you applying the 3rd Law of Business? Are you Fit to grow? Do you have the funds to grow? Are you having any fun?

Do you have the courage to commit and invest in Tomorrow?

To your fun growth
